What is Mediation?
 | | A safe, structured, and confidential process for talking | | | about conflicts and disagreements
 | | An opportunity to explore possible options and | | | solutions with the help of a neutral third party professionally trained in mediation
 | | A private and fair way for the people involved to make | | | decisions.
 | | An opportunity to heal and repair relationships | | | |

How Does Mediation Work?
 | | During mediation, each person has a chance to speak about the issues.
 | | Mediators do not take sides or make decisions for you. They help you decide for yourself | | | how to resolve the situation.
 | | When you reach a shared understanding and agreement, the specifics may be written | | | down so each person leaves with the same clear plan for the future.

Mediation is Not:
 | | A substitute for an attorney or legal advise
 | | Therapy or mental health counseling
 | | A process that should involve young children
 | | Appropriate for domestic violence issues | | | |
